Some things never change…It’s always tempting for a company to talk about their cutting edge equipment and square footage. And while Horton’s has plenty to brag about in those categories, we think you’ll agree that all the cool equipment and sprawling facilities don’t mean much unless the people know how to make it all work for you. So, let’s start with the people.Horton’s moved from Geneva, Georgia to Bellevue, Nebraska in the Spring of 2009. (You’ll find out more about Bellevue in a minute.) We made our move to keep up with the growing demands of you—our customers. Here’s where it gets interestingWhen we say Horton’s moved, we mean the entire Horton family. Paul, Susan, their son Paul, Jr., and of course, the next, next Horton generation of grandchildren all made the move together. (To say that Horton’s is a family operation is an understatement.)By the time the grandkids are grown and picking up the traditions of Horton’s Handcrafted Quality, it will be the fourth generation of uninterrupted family ownership. And in an age of mergers, acquisitions, and “who-knows-who-owns-and-runs-what”, we’re sticking to the family. You see, we still believe that while advances in technology are important, there’s nothing quite like a personal relationship—family-to-family—with our valued, lifelong customers. Inside Horton’sIt’s true that the Midwest work ethic is alive and well in Nebraska. Our agricultural roots and rugged independence translate into one of the most motivated, qualified, and dedicated workforces in the country. That’s why we’re here and it’s why our quality is unmatched.Pride in our work, our people, and our country are evident at Horton’s. Inside our factory showroom, you’ll see some of the finest K-9 equipment in the world. That’s not just what we say; it’s what our customers (K-9 Professionals from around the world) tell us over and over again. Step through the doors for a tour, and we’ll show you how and where your next purchase is designed, handcrafted, and tested. Our manufacturing and design facilities were created from the ground up based on decades of industry experience. Horton’s facilities, equipment, and floor plans are engineered to produce the greatest efficiency, while maintaining our legendary history of handcrafted quality.
C’mon in, there’s plenty to see at Horton’s.Horton’s Handcrafted Quality’s facilities include 30,000 square feet of design, manufacturing and retail space as well as access to over 60,000 square feet of indoor training structures and 29 acres of land. We’re tucked away in the rolling hills and densely wooded area of Bellevue, Nebraska. What? You’ve never heard of Bellevue? We’re not surprised. So, let’s start with a few sights and sounds that might be more familiar to you. Bellevue, Nebraska (smack-dab in the middle of the country) borders Omaha, our neighbors to the north. Immediately to the south is Offutt Air Force Base, home of U.S. Stratcom, a joint command staffed by members from all branches of the military. (That makes our equipment testing pretty convenient.) Originally set up as a fur trading post, Bellevue and the greater Omaha area are home to Union Pacific Railroad, Warren Buffett, and of course, Omaha Steaks. If you have a real good arm, you can throw a rock across the Missouri River to Iowa from here. (Actually, it would take two or three throws, but you get the idea.) Here, you can get great seats to the College World Series and spend a day at one of the nation’s most amazing zoos. Late at night, you’ll hear silence and see huge star-filled skies our rural areas. Drive 15 minutes and you’ll find even more stars. Most people would never guess that Omaha’s QWEST Center ranked number 5 in US, and 18 world concert ticket sales. Entertainers the likes of everyone from Rod Stewart and Paul McCartney to KISS and Sugarland play to packed houses. But that’s nothing new. If you listen closely, you’ll hear echoes of Duke Ellington and Count Basie in the Old Market area. (We’re as big on jazz as you’d think we are on country.) If you’re into golf, you really should visit. We have more golf courses per capita than any other area our size in the country. And contrary to big-city beliefs, Nebraska has running water, electricity, and internet connections. As for the rumors that we have cattle drives downtown—we’re not talking. You’re always welcome at Horton’sOur facilities and staff are here to design, manufacture, test, and deliver the finest Professional K9 Equipment in the world. Whether you’re connected through our website, phone, fax, or a personal visit, you’re always welcomed at Horton’s. Give us a call, we’ll show you around. The Hortons Mr. Paul O.
